Grimshaw, Alberta – On May 3, 2023, Grimshaw RCMP received a report of a male with a firearm making threats in a rural area near Grimshaw. The suspect was last seen on foot. RCMP began their search and alerted residents to the danger by advising to shelter in place. Officers from Peace River, Grande Prairie, High Prairie, and Mclennan Detachments including Police Dog Services and Crime Reduction Unit were dispatched. The RCMP Police Dog was successful in tracking the suspect and he was taken into custody. As a result of the subsequent investigation, RCMP have charged 26-year-old Hayes Dale Robert Fuller-Garand of no fixed address with:
· Assault
· Assault with a weapon causing bodily harm
· Forcible confinement
· Possession of a weapon contrary to order (x2)
· Mischief
· Breaking and Entering
· Indecent Communication
· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Fuller-Garand was taken before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for May 8, 2023, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.

Grimshaw Alta. – Grimshaw RCMP continue the search after receiving reports of a suspect with a firearm. The shelter in place remains for residents between Grimshaw and Roma Alberta. RCMP are looking for a subject of interest identified as 26-year-old Hayes Dale Robert Fuller-Garand. Hayes is described as:
· Light complexion
· 5’10”
· Brown hair
· Green eyes
· Light – medium build
· Face tattoo
· Last seen wearing a red ball cap, white shirt, black pants.
Fuller-Garand is considered armed and dangerous. If seen do not approach. Please call 911 immediately.

Grimshaw RCMP respond to firearms complaint advise residents to shelter in place
Grimshaw, Alta. – Grimshaw RCMP are currently responding to multiple reports of a suspect with a firearm at a rural location between Grimshaw and Roma Alberta. While officers respond we are asking all residents in the area to shelter in place, do not pick up people on the roadway, and secure doors and windows. Please call 911 if you see anything suspicious.
Police ask residents to reframe from posting pictures of responding members on social media until after the incident is over.
There have been no reports of injuries.
