Humboldt RCMP investigating incident after firearm is pointed at vehicle on Saskatchewan Highway 5

Humboldt, Saskatchewan – On April 21, 2023 at approximately 8:20 p.m., Humboldt RCMP received a report a firearm was pointed at a group of individuals travelling in a vehicle.

Investigation determined three individuals were in a vehicle travelling on 9th Street in Humboldt. An SUV pulled in front of it, stopped and the occupants got out and approached the victims’ vehicle.

The victims drove away. The SUV began to follow them as they travelled on Highway #5 towards Muenster. They turned around and passed the SUV, which had stopped. A male occupant of the SUV pointed a firearm at them. The victims continued driving to a safe location and informed police of the incident. No injuries were reported to police.

Humboldt RCMP have been investigating since and are now asking members of the public to report any information about this incident.

The vehicle is described as a black, full-size SUV, possibly a Cadillac Escalade or a GMC Yukon.

One suspect is described as a tall Caucasian male with a slim build, wearing all black. The second is described as a tall Caucasian male with a beard, with a slim build, wearing all black.
