Lethbridge Police seize more than $40,000 worth of drugs

Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police charged four people with drug offences and seized more than $40,000 worth of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine.

On May 3, 2023 the Alberta Sheriffs Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) unit was conducting an investigation in the city when they observed subjects engaged in drug trafficking activities. Members of the LPS Downtown Policing Unit, K9 and Patrols subsequently arrested three males and one female in the area of Stafford Drive and St. Edwards Boulevard North. A search of the subjects and their vehicles resulted in the seizure of approximately 222 grams of fentanyl – 2,220 individual doses – 46 grams of methamphetamine, 26 grams of cocaine, $7,000 in cash along with an SUV valued at $30,000. The total street value of the drugs is just over $42,100.

Dylan Ivan Sokol, 27,of Lethbridge, is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime. Sokol was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court May 11.

Robert Ambrus, 30, of Lethbridge, is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of the proceeds of crime. Ambrus was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court June 1.

Kristina Lucille Zinger, 40, is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime. Zinger was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court May 11.

Tyler Jeffrey Seppola, 37, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Seppola was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 4.
