Richmond, BC – Shortly after 12:30 p.m. on April 11, 2023, Richmond RCMP responded to a residence in the 9000 block of Geal Road after receiving second hand information of a crime that had occurred there.
Officers arrived to discover that the sole resident, a 67-year old woman, had sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries requiring medical treatment. She was assaulted by two suspects and her home was ransacked.
Both suspects are described as being dark-skinned , wearing black hoodies, dark pants, and masks. They fled in an unknown vehicle.
Extensive patrols by frontline officers and the LMD Police Dog Services did not yield any suspects.
Richmond RCMP General Investigation Section has assumed conduct of this investigation.
