Elphinstone RCMP investigate armed robbery

Elphinstone, Manitoba – On May 21, 2023, at approximately 11:35 pm, Elphinstone RCMP responded to an armed robbery at a business on Road 354, in Keeseekoowenin First Nation.

A male carrying a firearm, entered the business, pointed the firearm at employees and demanded money and cigarettes. He then fled the scene and it is believed he got into a pick-up truck that was last seen exiting the community going west onto Highway 45.

No one was physically injured.

The suspect is described as approximately 5’10”, slim build, wearing a black ball cap, grey hoodie and a face mask. The firearm is described as being a sawed-off, single barrel shotgun.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer, dark coloured, lifted, diesel, pick-up truck with bright LED lights, and when running is excessively noisy.

The suspect is described as approximately 5'10", slim build, wearing a black ball cap, grey hoodie and a face mask.
