RM of Gimli, Manitoba – On May 28, 2023, at approximately 6:00 am, Gimli RCMP responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 9, at the intersection of 9th avenue, in the community of Sandy Hook.
Officers arrived on scene and observed that a vehicle, with two female occupants, had been traveling southbound when it left the roadway, entered the ditch and rolled.
The 20-year-old driver, from Winnipeg, received minor physical injuries. The 23-year-old passenger, from Winnipeg, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene.
Gimli RCMP, along with a RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
