Winnipegosis, Manitoba – On May 29, 2023, at approximately 10:40 pm, Winnipegosis RCMP responded to a shooting on Migizi Street, on Skownan First Nation.
It was reported that a 32-year-old male had been shot.

Officers and Emergency Medical Services responded immediately and the male was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation has determined the victim was outside speaking to two male suspects in a black jeep, when an argument ensued, and one of the males in the vehicle shot the victim. The suspects then fled the scene in the jeep.
The vehicle is described as a black 4-door jeep with tinted windows.
Description of suspect 1:
Male, Indigenous in appearance, approximately 30-40 years of age with a beard.
Description of suspect 2:
Male, Caucasian in appearance, approximately 30-40 years of age wearing a white hoodie.
This appears to be a targeted incident.
