Medicine Hat, Alberta – The Medicine Hat Police Service is seeking assistance from the public to identify a male believed to be connected to an arson that occurred on May 30, 2023, at a property located on Day Street SE.
At 03:40 AM, police and fire resources were dispatched following a report of a recreational trailer on fire. When crews arrived, the trailer was fully engulfed in flames, and it appeared that there had been attempts to ignite a truck and other miscellaneous items found on the property. Total damage caused by the fires is estimated at $23,000.
A male (see attached photo), was observed on camera at the scene and is described as a Caucasian male, in his early to mid 20’s, who was wearing black pants with cargo pockets, a white ‘Vans’ short sleeve t-shirt (with a Grim Reaper holding 3 boxes of pizza depicted on the back), white hoodie, cream colored Chuck Taylor high-top shoes and a black Carhartt ball cap.
The MHPS continues to investigate this matter and is asking for anyone who can identify the man in the photo to contact police at 403-529-8481 or tips can also be submitted through the MHPS website (mhps.ca) or mobile app. The MHPS app is free to download and available for both Apple and Android devices.
