Airdrie, Alberta – Airdrie RCMP are continuing to investigate a single vehicle, fatal collision that occurred on May 31, 2023. At 12: 34 a.m., Airdrie RCMP and Airdrie Fire responded to a single vehicle roll over collision on Yankee Valley Boulevard, east of the QEII Hwy.
A sports utility vehicle was travelling westbound when it left the road on the North side of Yankee Valley Blvd. The vehicle rolled as it left the road way.

Airdrie Fire personnel were required to extract the driver from the vehicle. The male driver and a female passenger were transported by ground ambulance to hospital.
The male driver; a 73 year old resident of Airdrie, was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The lone female passenger was the driver’s spouse. She was treated at the hospital and later released.
Airdrie RCMP are continuing to investigate and do not believe alcohol and drugs to be a factor in the collision.
