Canmore, Alberta – On May 28, 2023, at 9:34 a.m., Canmore RCMP received a report from Kananaskis Mountain Rescue (KMR), of a medical emergency at the base of East End of Rundle (EEOR), near Canmore. KMR had received a report of a medical distress call on the scree at the base of the cliff.
With the assistance of Alpine helicopters, a 27-year-old male, a resident of Edmonton, was located deceased. No foul play is suspected.
The Calgary Medical Examiner’s Office is leading this investigation with the assistance from Canmore RCMP.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased. There will be no further updates.
