Peace River, Alberta – On May 7, 2023 at approximately 3:45 a.m., Peace Regional RCMP received a report of a break and enter and theft of vehicle in progress at a business on Range Road 223 in Peace River.
RCMP arrived on scene and learned that the suspect had driven a stolen vehicle through a fence and had gotten stuck in a muddy field. A short time later, Police located the stolen vehicle and observed evidence of ignition tampering.
The suspect fled on foot and returned to the business where the break and enter had occurred. No one was injured during this occurrence.
RCMP returned and located Christian Singer (37), a resident of Western Alberta with no fixed address, who was arrested for:
Breach of a Conditional Sentence Order (for Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Flight from a Peace Officer)
Break and Enter
Theft of Motor Vehicle
Mischief under $5000
Operation of a Motor Vehicle while Prohibited
Christian was held for a Judicial Interim Hearing where he was remanded with a first appearance of June 12, 2023 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.
