Cochrane RCMP lay charges in drug trafficking investigation; “Fentanyl, scales, multiple cell phones”

Cochrane, Alberta – On July 6, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Stoney Nakoda RCMP were proactively patrolling and observed a vehicle without a licence plate. Upon a traffic stop of the vehicle, one passenger was identified to have outstanding warrants and arrested. Upon search of this passenger, illicit drugs were found on his person. Further investigation revealed over $2000.00 in Canadian currency, 25 grams of Fentanyl, scales, multiple cell phones and other drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Another occupant was arrested and both were held for a judicial interim release hearing.

Dennis Lyndon Wildman (44), a resident of Stoney Nakoda First Nation, has been charged with the following:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking x 2

Possession of a controlled substance

Possession of a prohibited weapon

Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose x 2

Jacie Kara Fox (38), a resident of Brocket, has been charged with the following:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking x 2

Dennis Wildman was remanded into custody and will appear in Cochrane’s Alberta Court of Justice on August 1, 2023.

Jacie Fox was released and will appear in Cochrane’s Alberta Court of Justice on August 1, 2023.

As charges have been laid, this matter is now before the courts and further information will not be released at this time.
