RCMP investigate after Jaws of Life and radio equipment stolen from Vilna, Alberta Fire Hall

Vilna, Alberta – On Aug. 26, 2023, Smoky Lake RCMP received a call of a break, enter and theft at the Vilna Fire Department. Suspect(s) gained entry into the building and stole an AFRACS radio and the jaws of life, including the pump.

The total value of the equipment stolen is $100,000.

This crime is being investigated by the Smoky Lake RCMP along with the assistance with the Eastern Alberta District RCMP Forensic Unit.
