Southern Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit execute search warrant and charge three from Calgary, one from Brooks

Rocky View County, Alberta – On Aug. 24, 2023, Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (SAD CRU) executed a search warrant at a rural property east of Calgary. RCMP officers received information that a stolen Ford F350 was at a property on Range Road 284. A search warrant was granted and as a result, four people were arrested:

Cass Gustavson (45), Tammy Dohms (45) and Ashley Buckley (49), residents of Calgary, and Samuel Leighton (51), a resident of Brooks, have all been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.

SAD CRU recovered the following stolen property:

Six Dodge Ram pick-ups

Two skid steers

Two flat deck trailers

Three pieces of heavy duty machinery

After Judicial Interim Release Hearings, Dohms was released for Alberta Court of Justice in Airdrie on Sept. 21, 2023. Buckley and Leighton were remanded until Aug. 30, 2023, for court in Canmore and Brooks respectively. Gustavson was remanded until Aug. 31, 2023, for court in Airdrie.
