Leduc, Alberta – On Aug. 30, 2023, Leduc RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (LCRU) with the assistance of the Integrated Gang Enforcement Team (IGET) a team within the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT), conducted a one-day crime reduction initiative that targeted offenders with outstanding arrest warrants in the Leduc RCMP Detachment area.
Officers proactively attended multiple residences and arrested offenders on outstanding warrants for a range of Criminal Code offences and Traffic Safety Act offences. In total, there were 7 individuals arrested resulting in the execution of 6 warrants with six charges, $1057.14 in fines paid and one new charge being laid.
The Leduc RCMP implement crime reduction initiatives to target known offenders and address the root cause of crime in the area. Efforts are being made to target their criminal activities, and hold them accountable before the courts.
