Leduc, Alberta – On Aug. 31, 2023 at approximately 1:35 a.m., Leduc RCMP received a report of suspicious activity where a person was observed removing a licence plate from a vehicle parked at a business on Sparrow Drive in Leduc.
Police made patrols in the area, located the suspect vehicle and a traffic stop was initiated. A licence plate query showed the plate was not a match to the vehicle and the licence plate had been reported stolen out of Edmonton. The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 28 grams of cocaine, bear spray, an extendable baton and various types of ammunition.
Following further investigation, Leduc RCMP with the assistance of the Drug Unit and Crime Reduction, executed a search warrant on a room at a hotel nearby resulting in the seizure of a shot gun, sawed-off shotgun and an SKS rifle.

Allen Manning (21), a resident of Warburg, Alta. was charged with the following:
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 X2
Careless use of firearm X3
Unauthorized possession of firearm
Tampering with serial number on firearm X2
Possession of a prohibited firearm
Fail to comply with release order condition X2
Following a judicial hearing, Manning was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc on Sept. 14, 2023.
Kesha O’reilly (19), a resident of Warburg, was charged with the following:
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 X2
Careless use of firearm X3
Unauthorized possession of firearm
Tampering with serial number on firearm X2
Possession of a prohibited firearm
Following a judicial hearing, O’reilly was remanded into custody. She is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc on Sept. 21, 2023.
Robert Gordon Francis (38), a resident of Edmonton was charged with the following:
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Possession of a controlled substance – Cocaine
Fail to comply with release order condition
Following a judicial hearing, Francis was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc on Sept. 14, 2023.
