Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police continue to investigate an incident where shots were fired during an altercation outside a downtown pub during the early morning hours Sunday.

On September 10, 2023 at approximately 2:26 a.m. police responded to a report that multiple gunshots had been fired in the street just outside the main entrance to Hudson’s Taphouse along the 900 block of 2 Avenue South. Prior to the shooting two males were observed fighting near the entrance and security staff intervened. A short time later a white SUV arrived and two males exited. The two began confronting people in the parking lot and a large altercation ensued. During the fight, a firearm was discharged multiple times. No one was injured but a bullet was recovered from the wall above the entrance. Police also seized a knife that had been dropped by one of the assailants.
While a number of witnesses have already been interviewed, police are asking anyone who was present during the incident or may have information that could assist the investigation, to come forward.
