Slave Lake, Alberta – On Sept. 16, 2023, at approximately 11 p.m., Slave Lake RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover on Highway 2, approximately five kilometers south of Slave Lake.
Slave Lake RCMP, along with fire services and emergency medical services, attended the scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates a pick-up truck was travelling southbound on Highway 2 and crossed into the northbound lane before going off the road and rolling in the west ditch. Despite life saving efforts by emergency personnel, the 46-year-old male driver and lone occupant, a resident of Thorsby, Alta., was pronounced deceased on scene. The name of the deceased will not be released.
Slave Lake RCMP are investigating this collision.
