Red Deer, Alberta – On Sept. 17, 2023 at 9:07 p.m., Red Deer RCMP were called to 4217 50 Ave. to assist with a pedestrian collision.
RCMP continue their investigation with the assistance of the RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst, and the General Investigation Section.
The 32-year-old, male pedestrian from Red Deer, died as a result of his injuries. The victims name will not be released.
As a result of the on-going investigation, RCMP have charged Carter Mather (20), a resident of Red Deer with the following:
Failure to stop after an accident resulting in death
Mather was held for a judicial interim release hearing and was released to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on Oct. 16, 2023.
